Can it help with the pain
Mike,
I don't see any reason why not. Fioricet contains acetaminophen or tylenol, butabarbital and a narcotic, I believe its codeine. Fioricet comes in different strengths depending on the amount of codeine in it, #2 has 60 mg, #3 has 90 mg..I don't know how bad your tooth pain is, but if you have an abscess or something similar, not sure how much pain relief you'll get. The dentist is your best route for diagnosis and adequate antibiotics with pain control. In my experience, the dentist gave me penicillin and percocets. OMG, did I hurt. Had tooth pulled as soon as he would extract the nasty thing.
Good luck, hope I helped.
Peace,
Laura
fioricet doesnt come with codeine unless the physician orders it with it. regular fioricet is a barbiturate, caffeine, and tylenol.
#2 has 15mg. #3 has 30mg. #4 has 60mg. Check the info for Tynol #2, #3, #4..
Sorry..Tylenol..auto correct..lol
Fioricet may help for minor tooth pain but something like ibuprofen may work better. However, try not to use ibuprofen if there is a possibility that your tooth may need to be extracted.
Fioricet contains a combination of acetaminophen, butalbital, and caffeine. Acetaminophen is a pain reliever and fever reducer.
Butalbital is in a group of drugs called barbiturates. It relaxes muscle contractions involved in a tension headache. Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant. It relaxes muscle contractions in blood vessels to improve blood flow.
Fioricet is used to treat tension headaches that are caused by muscle contractions.
Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Ibuprofen works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.
Ibuprofen is used to reduce fever and treat pain or inflammation caused by many conditions such as headache, toothache, back pain, arthritis, menstrual cramps, or minor injury.
